The university is enriched by the presence of several student veteran associations (SVAs), student-led chapters that are the “boots on the ground” that provide peer-to-peer support, which has been linked to academic success and an easier transition to campus for student veterans.
Current graduate and undergraduate student veterans form WUVets, which works to represent and advocate for the interests of student veterans campus-wide. WUVets provides support and resources to veterans and their family members to help them transition to Washington University.
The Olin Veterans Association (OVA) exists to assist Olin Business School veteran students, alumni and applicants in transitioning successfully into the business world.
The SVA at the Washington University Law School exists to create a meaningful value proposition for students transitioning from military to civilian life who view professional legal education as a viable next step in their career path, as well as for non-veterans interested in future military service or veterans’ affairs.
