Hello fellow veterans, active duty service members, cadets, family members, students, alumni, faculty and supporters! We know you get a ton of emails so this email will have a lot of info in an effort to cut down on multiple messages. My name is Angela Peacock and I am the WUVets President this year. I hope this email finds you well and if I haven’t met you yet, I hope to soon!

We are ramping up for an exciting year at WUVets and have attached our 2018-2019 calendar for your viewing! We hope to see you at some events this year.

Some highlights for Fall 2018…

  • This Saturday, October 6th is our first “Family Dinner” at 6:30 pm at Three Kings Public House in the back room. Please bring your partner and family members, mingle and meet the veteran community from WashU. Please reply with your RSVP so we have enough seats for everyone.
  • SAVE THE DATE: Vets Day 5k and 1 mile walk, November 11, 2018 Brookings Quad. Registration will be open in the next 48 hours. Sign up here:  http://www.fleetfeetstlouis.com/racing/vets-day-5K All proceeds benefit student veterans on campus. If you’d like to volunteer for race day, please let us know.

  Coming in Spring 2019……

  • If you would like to run for office, mark your calendars for February when we elect new officers. Come get involved now to check out what we do. We need YOU to run for office for next year!
  • Axe throwing, Student Veterans Week and Paintball! So much awesome. Stay tuned.
