The university will host its Military and Veteran Recognition Ceremony on Monday, May 13th, 2019 from 2-3:30 pm in College Hall, with a reception to follow. During this event, students will be honored for their service and achievements and will receive red, white and blue honor cords to wear during Commencement. Students are encouraged to invite a faculty or staff member who was instrumental to their success to cord them during the ceremony.

This event is open to graduating veterans, service members and ROTC cadets, their guests, faculty and staff supporters and current students. Graduating students will be required to RSVP in advance in order to participate.

Students graduating from Washington University in St. Louis gathered with family and faculty for the 2018 Veterans Recognition Ceremony “Continuing the Mission” Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Emerson Auditorium in Knight Hall on the Danforth Campus in St. Louis. Provost Holden Thorp, Professor Andrew Knight, Jesse Herman of Veteran Student Services and JD Candidate Edward Tjaden delivered remarks. Jennifer Goetz, Veteran Student Services Advisor, hosted the event.
