The university hosted its Military and Veteran Recognition Ceremony on Monday, May 13th, 2019 from 2-3:30 pm in College Hall, with a reception following the event. During this ceremony, students were honored for their service and achievements and received red, white and blue honor cords to wear during Commencement. Students invited a faculty or staff member who was instrumental to their success to cord them during the ceremony.

Students graduating from Washington University in St. Louis gathered with friends and family, faculty and staff for the 2019 Military and Veterans Recognition Ceremony, “Mission Accomplished,” on Monday, May 13, 2019 in Risa Commons of College Hall on the Danforth Campus. Provost Holden Thorp, Executive Director of the Sever Institute Joe Scherrer, and graduating student veterans Ryan Harbison, Elliott Hughes and Angela Peacock delivered remarks. The Office of Military and Veteran Services hosted the event.
